Setting Up Users in a Text or SMS Group
To add Users to a group, follow the instructions below.
1. Go to settings and click Users.
2. Choose the User you would like to add to a group, and click the pencil icon in the upper right corner.
3. In the Edit User screen, scroll down to SMS Group. Choose the group you would like to add the User to, and then click Save.
See All Incoming Texts Assigned to Your Text/SMS Group

There are 2 ways to view the text messages assigned to your text/SMS group:
1. In The Contacts Module, scroll down to the Text Inbox Custom View and select the Text Inbox for the User Group you wish to view.

When a contact replies to a text message, their response will appear in the inbox of the group that the user who sent the text is assigned to.
2. From Your Homepage
If you are not currently on your Homepage, click Home in the top navigation.
A text message will stay in your Group Inbox until you either respond to the text or you click the "No Reply Needed' button.
Sending a Text/SMS Message
To send a text, click Text Messages in the Related List on the Contact record. Type your message in the gray box, then click Send.
Alert
If you an alert appears notifying you that the Contact has opted-out of receiving text messages, see "Opting a Contact In To Receive Text Message"or "Contact Opting Out of Receiving Text Messages below".

To Use a Text Template
1. From the Contact, navigate to Text Messages using the Related List. Click the Template Button (document icon) and select the Template message.
2. Confirm that the Template Message is the one you want to use, then click send.
Creating A New Text Template
1. From the Contact, navigate to Text Messages using the Related List. Click the Template Button (document icon) and select +Add New Template.
2. Type in a name for the new Text Template, and a corresponding message. When complete, click the Add button.
3. Select the new Template, then Send.
Opt-In to Text Messages

If you see the pop-up message below, the Contact will need to be opted-in to receive text messages. Please follow the instructions.
There are regulations that require you to get a Contact to confirm that they agree to receive text messages.
1. To opt-in a Contact, click the action button in the top right, then select Text Opt-In.
2. Your Contact will now be opted-in to receive text messages.
Opt-Out of Text Messages

If a Contact replies "STOP" to a text message you send, they will be immediately opted-out of receiving text messages from you, per the below screens.
The system will not allow you to opt them back in.
The only way a contact who has opted out to resume receiving texts is by sending a text with the word "Start" themselves.
