Referral Program Management Overview

Referral Program Management Overview

Introduction

Referrals are the highest-quality, most cost-effective Lead source, but they can be difficult to manage and track. 1Stop's referral tracking solves this problem by automatically linking the referrer to the person being referred and making it easy to manage bonuses for both parties.  Following is a high level overview video on the entire Referral Process Program.

In this article, we provide:
  1. Summaries of all modules related referral management.
  2. Overview of the Blueprint to manage the referral bonuses.
  3. Dashboard & Reports to analyze referral performance.
  4. Links to all referral-related training articles.
The referral process in 1Stop is managed by two key modules: Referrals and Referral Bonus. Each module plays a critical role in managing, analyzing, and paying referral bonuses to Contacts, Employees, and Vendors.

Referral Module

The Referrals Module is the foundation of 1Stop's referral tracking . It is where users input new referrals to be scheduled for meetings, link them to the Contacts, Employee, or Vendor who referred them, and track their progress through the sales process for bonus-related purposes. For more details, please view the Referrals Module article.

Referral Bonus Module

The Referral Bonus Module is where you manage and approve referral bonuses. Each Referral Bonus is categorized as one of the following Bonus Types.
  1. New Customer - The person who was referred by a Contact, Employee or Vendor.
  2. Add-On Sale - This is an existing Customer who added an additional sale for another product.
  3. Referral-Contact - The person who referred the new Customer (i.e, the referrer).
  4. Employee Generated - The employee who helped generate the referral from the Contact.
  5. Referral-Employee - The employee who referred the New Customer.
  6. Referral-Vendor - The Vendor who referred the New Customer.
For more details, please view the Referral Bonus Module article.

  2. Referral-Employee - Auto-creates a Referral-Employee bonus records.

Referral Bonus Blueprint

To ensure the consistent and accurate completion and approval of Referral Bonus records, 1Stop has created a Referral Bonus Blueprint for the Referral Bonus Module. The Blueprint guides users through each step of the referral bonus process, ensuring that all required fields are completed to calculate the correct bonus amount.

Once the referral bonus has been completed using the Blueprint, the referral moves to the relevant Ready-to-Review State where it can be officially approved by management. Once approved, each bonus record's due date is automatically updated based on the Payment Due Type selected during the Blueprint process based on the following:
  1. Signing - Date the new Customer signed their agreement.
  2. Install Date - Date the installation is scheduled for.
  3. Paid in Full - Date the Sale is paid in full.
Once the due date is populated, the Referral Bonus record is ready for payment processing. For more details, please view the Referral Bonus Blueprint Overview article.
