Introduction
Managing commissions can be a challenging and complicated process which is why 1Stop has implemented a robust, automated and streamlined process for handling commissions for your sales team. The following video provides an overview on this entire process.
This article will provide an overview of the various modules related to commissions, explain the commission blueprint, provide links to relevant training articles, explain the commission dashboard, and provide an overview of the commission reports that are available for analysis.
There are three key modules involved in the commission process: Commissions, Comm Analysis, and Payroll. Each module plays a crucial role in managing, analyzing and paying commissions for sales representatives.
Commissions Module
The Commissions Module is where you can manage and approve commission records for each sale and change order made by your sales representatives. 1Stop will automatically create Commission records in three different ways:
- Approve a Sale - upon approving a sale record, a new Commission record will be automatically created.
- Approve a Change Order - upon approving a change order record, if the Commission Eligible field is marked "Yes", a new Commission record will be automatically created.
- Add Commission Adjustment - on an existing Commission record you can select the "Add Commission Adjustment" button to create a new Commission record.
For more details on the the Commissions Module, please review the

. For more information on processing and approving commissions see training articles below.Comm Analysis Module
The Comm Analysis Module provided by 1Stop is designed to assist in analyzing the effective discount and identifying non-commissionable items on approved sale or change order records. By using this module, companies can easily determine the actual discount applied to the sale or change order, as well as identify any items or charges that are not eligible for commission. It is particularly useful for organizations that provide quotes at a product level in 1Stop as it is instrumental in accurately completing commission records, ensuring that the calculation is precise with detail to support the inputs used to calculate the commission. 1Stop will automatically create Comm Analysis records in three different ways:
- Approve a Sale - upon approving a sale record, a new Comm Analysis record will be automatically created.
- Approve a Change Order - upon approving a change order record, if the Commission Eligible field is marked "Yes", a new Comm Analysis record will be automatically created.
For more details on the the Comm Analysis Module, please review the

. For more information on updating and using comm analysis records, see training articles below.Commission Blueprint
To ensure the consistent and accurate completion and approval of Commission records, 1Stop has created a Commission Blueprint within the Commission Module. The Blueprint guides users through each step of the Commission process, ensuring that all necessary assumption fields are completed in order to calculate the correct Commission amount. Once the Commission has been completed via the Blueprint, it moves to the Review State where it can be officially approved. This can be done through the "Approved" Transition or the "Adjustment Approved" Transition, depending on the circumstance.
